Backporch Draftdouse in Temple

I got the fish tacos and my man got the fish basket....both came out and looked like kiddie plates..and they had a pitbull dog in the same area customers are eating.. not cool. The barrocha beans were delicious.

Great quality of food and fun atmosphere. I gave 3 stars only because when I went no one helped me for 20 minutes then after I ordered I find out 30 minutes later my order was forgotten. It could have been a completely better experience

Great service and excellent food.

My son had just arrived home from Korea after 9 months in the Army. We had a great meal and the waitress comes over and tells us the meal is on the house. God Bless them and we will always visit this place in the future. 🇺🇸

Very nice place. Lots of room and plenty of TV's to enjoy multiple games at the same time. Watched game #1 of the NBA Finals here and the crowd was cozy and inviting to all. 😎👍🏾👍🏾

The place looks great, aside a few furniture choices. Food and service will quickly distract you though. The Big Bad Riley burger is choice 👌🏼 (secret sauce) and well worth the wait. The wait staff are plenty friendly and efficient in their service. Not a bad way to spend a nice afternoon lunch with anyone really. Stasney was our waitress.

This place is interesting and if you do not exit I-35, it's very easy to pass up. The back porch has two bars, a patio, large family seating areas, and offers generous portions. The back porch provides plenty of TV screens so you never miss a moment and the staff is very attentive.

Changing my review because of the manager's lack of transparency during their recent covid outbreak. 2 employees had it at work and they were refusing to let the public know when they worked last. When called out they deleted my comments and blocked me from posting or private messaging them to find out if i was exposed. I will never trust them and advise all to stay away.

Experience was great! Prompt, polite service.Bottom line, everything is salty. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. My Club was delicious. Give this place a shot. You won't regret it.

Excellent salad, we always appreciate a place that is willing to make adjustments to the menu items to suit our taste. Our server was extremely friendly. We had to eat outside because the temperature in the restaurant was subzero. Literally so cold we could not enjoy our food. Other than that, great sweet tea and 2 great salads. Fried chicken is really good. Glad we stopped in to this spot. Several menu items looked great- very lengthy menu- something for everyone here.

Always enjoy the food. Haven't had anything I did not enjoy.

Great selection of burgers and large selection of beer on draft. Definitely a good game day spot tvs everywhere. If you snag a burger I can promise you won't leave hungry. The salsa left something to be desired but I've definitely had worse. 8 1/2 out of 10

Great staff in the front of the house. Pretty sure some of your cooks cant read when it says no sauces. My ordee3was to go. Didn't have time to wait for another so my loss all the way around

One of my favorite places in Temple... Everything on the menu is fantastic. I love the atmosphere. Drinks are always yummy and ready to go! Great Great Great place!

The burger was delicious and the beer was cold. What more could you ask for? It was a weekday visit at lunch so it was not very crowded, but the floor space has potential for an exciting Friday & Saturday night, especially with a PPV event. Will definitely go visit again.

We took my mother in law there for her birthday. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. And the cost wasn't the bad either. Definitely will go back again.

The fries and burger was a bit too salty for my taste, and that's saying a lot. But the wings were great.

Just found a new favorite place to eat in Temple. They have many great food options. My personal favorite is the Real Deal Nachos.

Facility was very well taken care of. Employees were very welcoming and we didn't have to wait. Food selection or variety is very good and the price is pretty average. Beer selection is pretty good. They were out of one of the blonde beers I wanted to try but they had enough of other kinds it was ok. I would definitely come back and recommend to my friends.

The best burger and sandwich we've ever had and we love food. Great service. We will be back for sure.

This establishment have had two employees test positive for covid per an announcement posted on facebook. They refuse to indicate when the last time the infected staff were on shift. They have blocked and deleted comments demanding answers.

Went there yesterday around 530pm for dinner. We were seated outside. Took an hour to get our food and the waitress kept forgetting about us. Not attentive at all. Good food as usual. I miss when Taylor and Kyla were there. They always made sure we were taken care of and their customer service was always amazing!

Staff was very friendly. Bar staff was great at keeping drinks flowing and taking food orders. Awesome selection of beer, If you can not find a beer you like here then you do not like beer.

Great Staff, Our Awesome Waitress Was Haley she was very attentive brought out everything in a timely manner. Food was excellent. Came here after seeing a friend at the hospital, we are from San Marcos,Tx. Would definitely recommend this place and we will return when in the Area

First time here and the service was great and the food was great! Very clean and friendly environment also.

We stopped here as we passed through town on I-35. We chose this place because they had a dog friendly patio. The only negative I can find with the place is that the patio didn't have much in the way of shade. Other than that we had a very enjoyable experience. The service was good, the food was delicious, and everyone we encountered was friendly. I would definitely frequent this place of I lived nearby.

If your in the Temple area this is a must stop. Best Burgers, wings, Chicken fried steak, catfish, Nachos and much much more!! Also great live entertainmemt and anything you want to drink from Ice Cold Beer to Mixed Drinks. Also watch the Big Game on numerous Flat Screens everywhere you turn. Will not regret your visit and will wanna keep coming back.

I ordered the fried chicken wrap and was given the grilled wrap (I should have checked my order). I asked for both fries and coleslaw. Later I discovered I was not given fries as I asked. Again, I should have checked my order. I ordered here due to being in walking distance.

Not the best place for a burger and fries. Had to wait to be noticed both times I've gone, my order was wrong and it tasted like liquid smoke to me. On the plus side waitress was nice and they are photogenic burgers.

Had the Barn yard Burger. I am gluten free & keto so brought my own bun. Can I just say I am still drooling? They were very accommodating as they even took my smart bun and threw it on the grill and served my burger on it. This burger had an egg on top & had ham. Hands down the best burger ever. My husband had a huge burger with bbq sauce & and a heavy weight champion of an onion ring on the top. I was bursting at the seems otherwise I would have ate the whole dang thing. Have you not tried a fried egg on top of your burger? Let me tell you its a thing & a very good thing at that🍔🍔 Service was overall good as well. Will be a repeat offender lol (aka customer)

Good Beer and Great service. I ordered the burger special which included a double cheeseburger with all kinds of good ingredients. They have a good variety of foods and beer. Keep an eye out for their Wednesday specials on the chalk board when you walk in. They change it every Wednesday.

The atmosphere alone makes Back Porch stand out. The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. The Sports Bar is definitely the place to be! ❤️❤️❤️

Unbelievable Food and appropriate pricing. I can't believe I didn't discover this place sooner. Absolutely fantastic place for family or friends. Great staff as well. Curbside orders are usually ready within 20 minutes, in my experience at least.

The girls bartending last night were awesome!! They didn't miss a beat and made all the fun drinks perfectly. The food was amazing as always as well. Live music was awesome. We had a great time in the stupendous atmospheres.

A consistent level of service and food quality, makes the "Back Porch" a reliable dining experience. I have experienced better accuracy from the "To-Go" option in the bar area, than sitting down for the meal. I'm giving 4 of 5 stars for being a rock solid dining experience every time, with the premise that 5 of 5 is reserved for the very best. I have found some of the wait staff to be 5 of 5, but the name of the game in customer service is consistency. The meal quality is also consistently above average.

I came here for an early dinner and it was amazing! the food is the best! I got a burger and I thought it was pretty big. I also got a fish bowl and it was delicious! I recommend coming here!It was a tad bit pricy thought but in my thought it was worth it. we got 2 burgers, a fish bowl, 2 beers and fried pickles and it was 60$ plus tip.Would come here again!

You can find better. Half of it tastes like it came out of a freezer

OK food...prices were a little high, and the sandwiches all had too much sauce. We had a work function there, and everyone agreed. But the service was good.

Honestly the food was great always is but we sat outside and pretty much got forgotten about. The waitress Kenzie only came and checked on us like 2 times in the hour we sat there and took forever to even get napkins.. feel like that’s something that should be given right away. I just feel the service was very poor all around.

Great place. Had a flight and all beers were good. Burgers were great. Good flavor. Sweet potato fries were very dry and overdone. French fries were good .
